The ACE Awards ceremony is to recognise active citizens of Europe and those that have made an exceptional impact on their community either locally, nationally or internationally.
Across Europe there are thousands of charitable events and projects and we are trying to acknowledge the work of these unsung heroes, such as volunteers and project leaders who provide inspiration for a collective European identity.
Volonteurope is now seeking nominations for the ACE Awards 2008. Awards will be presented to six individuals or organisations who have demonstrated an outstanding practice of active citizenship in Europe. This year awards will be given in six categories: Life Long Achievement; Innovation; International; Senior Volunteer; Young Volunteer; CSR.
The Awards Gala Dinner will take place on Friday 31st October 2008 at the Galata Museum in Genoa's waterfront.
If you would like to nominate an individual or organisation, please download the ACE Awards Nomination Form, complete it and e-mail it to volonteurope@csv.org.uk by Friday 12th September 2008.
