CSV Get Active Week 2008 takes place from Sunday 22 June to Sunday 29 June and provided thousands of housebound and isolated people with company and companionship.

Our Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) runs this event to:

  • offer a fun day out for people who find it difficult to leave home without assistance
  • allow carers some time to themselves
  • demonstrate the positive contribution which older people are able to make to their local community

This is a partnership event, involving companies, local authorities, well-known local individuals, other voluntary organisations and many older people as volunteers and participants.

Lasting friendships are made and new volunteers recruited.

For further information about Get Active Week, email Betty Bryden: bbryden@csv.org.uk

CSV is hoping to attract more volunteers aged 50-plus to keep themselves active and happy by joining the charity’s RSVP programme:

If you want to get involved as an RSVP volunteer and share the fun, please contact Shahina Bibi on 020 7643 1385 or email on sbibi@csv.org.uk
