Thousands and thousands of CSV Make a Difference Day volunteers have changed Northern Ireland over the years.

Here are some of the highlights:

1. Growing on each other!
Conservation Volunteers Northern Ireland in Belfast turned their local Wlidflower Nursery into a learning zone and cultural melting pot, encouraging local residents, who have settled in the area from all parts of the world, including China and India, to learn about the environment and each other

2. Street collections!
Mark from County Down spent his day making a difference for his local charity shops, by organising a street collection in his local area

3. Barring none!
People with disabilities and Leonard Cheshire in County Tyrone, volunteered their time to check the disability access at the local bars and restaurants, highlighting the important issue of social inclusion

4. Keeping premature babies warm
Jane and her daugher in County Antrim used our free How to Knit Guide to knit premature baby outfits for their local premature baby unit

5. Celebrate difference with a difference!
Pupils from Victoria College in Belfast volunteered by holding a celebratory event which explored the cultural diversity within the school and its wider community.
