Thousands of people from all walks of life, in all parts of Wales , get stuck into hundreds of odd activities.

Highlights include:

Kick-starting abilities
A pan-disability training session run by Swansea Football club, which gave a dozen youngsters with visual impairments and learning disabilities their first chance to play football, unlocking loads of potential.

Hand over your mobile…
….to someone who needs it. Donated older mobile phones were reconditioned and redistributed in Neath and Bridgend, to facilitate volunteer work and help older people stay in touch.

Flower power
An amazing 40,000 daffodil bulbs were planted across Wales by volunteers from Merched y Wawr, Aberystwyth. An extra reason to look forward to Spring!

School switch-off
Over 1200 pupils from Ysgol Dinas Bran in Llangollen participated in an Eco Awareness Day, switching off unnecessary lights and learning all about recycling.

Alway’s green
As well as tidying up a local fishing spot with a litter pick, enthusiastic volunteers helped plant flowers in Alway, and held a Halloween party for local children.

Watch your mouth!
KPC Youth in Pyle, Bridgend challenged local residents to eat healthy by taking part in a sandwich making workshop and sampling unusual but nutritious food.
