"We were thinking about other people's
experiences in life - 'does everyone have the chance to eat healthy
food?'
As a school we knew through the Salvation Army that people in
crisis are not in the same fortunate situation as ourselves. We saw
this as our chance to
…..MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
A Sixth Form team worked with the whole school to each collect
something small - toothpaste, pasta, tins of soup, cans of beans,
soap, shower gel etc for people who may be in crisis……
Something Small x Many people = Something BIG!
By putting this motto into practise, together we made a
BIG DIFFERENCE. Now our donations increase every
time we do our termly appeal. We have managed to fill a whole car
full of groceries and supplies for people in crisis.
We have made a promise that we will continue to work alongside
this charity because everyone deserves a chance at life. All we
want is to give them the right push in the right direction, in this
case by providing food and essentials.
Our next collection in the summer will gather groceries and
supplies, bed linen and towels. Working alongside the Salvation
Army has given us a different perspective - and really with a bit
of hard work and the will to succeed - it's not difficult!
Together WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE".
