Hosted by the Environmental Society and aided by the
Agents4Change campaign, it kicked off the beginning of the 'Climate
Change and the Student Movement' conference that began
that weekend.
The students made clothes from spare material, unconventional
resources and discarded household goods. Student Anna
Stephenson-Boyles, for instance, made a 60s style crochet dress
with paper doyleys.
Agents4Change is a project coordinated by CSV with support from
Tesco and youth volunteering charity v. It aims to empower people
aged between 16 and 25 to get involved in community projects.
Community Catalyst at Agents4Change Tom Lennard says, 'This is
an entertaining way of getting young people to engage with
important environmental issues. Recycling is a regular activity for
many Sussex students.'
Indeed, recycling activities are very important to the CSV Make a
Difference Day campaign. Could you host an event like this in
October? There's plenty of time to prepare and we can help you
every step of the way!
