Joining as a volunteer in the campaign team is a fantastic
opportunity to gain high-level campaigns experience and will equip
you with the experience and skills for a career in campaigns,
volunteer management, marketing, PR or research.
Main tasks of the role:
• Researching and writing copy for campaign e-updates, newsletters,
marketing materials and resources
• Answering telephone and email queries from campaign
supporters
• Telephone and web research into charities and community groups
that provide innovative and interesting projects involving
volunteers
• Organising events and volunteering projects
• Updating the campaign website and developing a facebook
group
• Recruiting and liaising with celebrity and MP supporters
• General campaign administrative tasks
Competencies / experience needed:
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Creative
• Approachable with good telephone manner
• Use of initiative
Desirable experience: events/campaigns/website/office
experience/sales.
Volunteers will be required to commit to at least 2 months, on a
3 day week. Expenses of £5 lunch and an inner London travel card
will be covered. And we've got as much tea and coffee as you can
drink!
