We work hard to provide as much help and support as we possibly
can so that our volunteers can make a real difference, succeed with
their project and have an excellent volunteering experience.
Here are the free resources for 2008:
- Action Packs
These are FREE and full of infomation as well as materials to help
plan, carry out and promote activities and make it more fun for
volunteers.
-
Activity
Locator
Our new
and improved online search engine helps volunteers to find CSV Make
a Difference Day projects in their area to help out, or link up
with. Organisers can also promote their activities here to recruit
volunteers and attract publicity.
-
How-to guides
For a quick and easy way of getting involved in our campaign,
volunteers can register to receive one of our free celebrity
endorsed activity guides.
-
School Lesson Plans
The CSV Education
department has provided Citizenship lesson plans for Key Stages 3
& 4. We are offering these resources to teachers, schools and
young people's organisations. They are tailored to engage young
people with issues surrounding the campaign and encourage them to
create their own volunteering projects.
-
Organise your
activity
An Activity Organisers Guide is included in the Action Pack and
available by email. It gives all the basic information necessary to
run a successful CSV Make a Difference Day activity, including
advice on attracting media interest, risk assessment information
and planning checklists.
-
CSV Action Desks
Based at BBC Local Radio stations, the Action Desks play a key role
in promoting CSV Make a Difference Day both through on-air content
and by organising activities of their own.
- Downloads
Once activities are registered, organisers are directed to our
downloads area of the website - to access electronic versions
of key items in the Action Packs, such as volunteer thank you
certificates.
