Volunteer support for Action Desks
CSV Action Desks are managed by CSV Producers but rely heavily on
local volunteers who contribute enormously to the work and
character of all our projects.
Volunteers get involved by staffing the listener
helplines as well as providing back up research support and
occasionally helping to produce social action initiatives. Some of
our volunteers go on to structured media training courses and/or
employment within the industry.
These volunteer placements are extremely popular and we have no
vacancies at present. If you would like to register your interest
you can contact

Desk however we can not guarantee finding you a
volunteer placement.
Would you like to recruit volunteers or promote an educational
campaign with us :
CSV Action Desks work closely with charities and community groups
to change passive listeners into active, informed citizens.
Action Desks work closely with broadcasters to produce:
- on air appeals for volunteers, new learners, or other help
- On air features to highlight a particular issue such as life
long learning, healthy eating or crime prevention.
