How can children make an impact in their community?

This lesson plan and corresponding activity guide gets young people thinking about how to make a difference locally by taking up an issue and bringing it to the attention of local government or decision makers - from their headteacher to their local MP or even the Prime Minister!

“I am delighted to endorse CSV’s Local Politics lesson plan. It is vitally important that young people are aware of the work which is being undertaken in their local communities and the difference which they can make to their own areas. Getting involved at a local level can often ignite in young people a desire to stand for office at a national capacity”.
