When people who love sports volunteer to help people without
access to sports, great things happen.
Here are just some of your CSV Make a Difference Day stories!
Nationwide: The English Federation of Disability Sports
worked with 40 local gyms across the UK to launch gym buddy
schemes, pairing people with disabilities with long-term gym users,
to help them achieve their fitness goals
Wales: Swansea City Football Club launched a
disability football day which aimed to show that everyone can play
the beautiful game no matter what their disability
London: Street Leagues held a match day,
bringing together 30 5-a-side teams, made up of vulnerable or
disadvantaged men and women who are learning to communicate and
build self-confidence and skills through football.
Thousands of volunteers got involved in CSV Make a Difference
Day 2007. CSV Make a Difference Day 2008 takes place on Saturday
25th October 2008 and a week on either side.
