Ideas for charity shops :
1. Use the contents of your free

Pack to attract new volunteers to the shop on CSV Make a
Difference Day.
2. Organise a fancy dress event and get volunteers to create and
model costumes from shop stock. Display the finished costumes or
parade them down the High Street!
3. Attract volunteers by transforming your shop into a Halloween
Haunted House with spooky music, fancy dress and a Halloween window
display. Invite the public to become style advisers for the day,
and help customers choose their Halloween costume.
4. Recruit creative volunteers to select clothes and customise them
for sale in the shop . Ask a tailor or department store stylists to
teach altering, mending or window dressing skills.
5. Partner up with local schools or colleges and universities .
Invite the students to come up with ideas to make-over your shop.
This is a superb opportunity to attract younger volunteers. or
Partner with a local business ; encourage a bit of competition by
splitting the employee volunteers into teams to make over different
parts of your retail business.
