Q. Can I choose a particular project to donate to?
A.

Yes you can. You just need to tell us which project or type of project you would prefer to support.

Q. How can I help CSV in the future?
A. By supporting CSV with a legacy you will ensure that people are always there to make a difference. Click here for more information on leaving a legacy to CSV
Q. What is CSV's reserves policy?
A.

CSV has always had to operate with minimal reserves. However, in common with many other organisations, CSV needs to build up its reserves to protect its on-going work.

The level of general reserves held, only represents just over one week of expenditure for the organisation as a whole. This is clearly inadequate and to be prudent the general reserves need to be increased to cover at least thirteen weeks' expenditure. There is therefore nothing available from general reserves to subsidise existing work or to develop new projects.

Q. How can I make my donations to CSV tax free?
A.

Sign a Gift Aid declaration. This will say that you pay UK income tax, at least at basic rate, and that you’ve paid at least as much tax in this financial year as we’re reclaiming. Pass the form to us and we’ll reclaim the tax from the Inland Revenue.

You can get a Declaration from David Savage in CSV’s Finance Department (telephone 020 7643 1353, e-mail dsavage@csv.org.uk)

Corporate Christmas Cards

You can support CSV by ordering personalised Christmas cards for your company. For every 50 cards that you order, CSV will benefit to the tune of £34. This could pay for five isolated, vulnerable people to receive regular companionship and support from a volunteer befriender.
