Learning & Training
We provide opportunities to learn skills for life and to develop occupational competence. You could gain a nationally recognised qualification and learn new skills to boost your employability and confidence.
These are offered through our CSV and Springboard training centres.
We strongly believe that everyone can ‘make a difference’, that each individual is capable of increasing their value to the community and that CSV can help you prepare for work by building your confidence, developing your skills and helping you to achieve more than you expect.
CSV provides media training for individuals at selected areas across the UK. Our training courses cover radio, video, TV, print, web and other new media.
Hundreds of our former trainees have gone onto full-time employment within the larger broadcasters or small, independent media companies. Find an opportunity near you.
Professional Media Training
CSV provides professional media training for voluntary and public sector organisations . If you represent your organisation in the media, you need to make sure you have something newsworthy to say - and that you say it well.
If you are starting out in a media relations role we can give you the basic toolkit and build your confidence in dealing with the media.
If you're already an exprienced media spokesperson, our tailored workshops will help you update and refresh your current skills. We will help you discover some fresh ideas about expressing yourself in a confident and articulate manner through your words, your voice and appearance.
Volunteer Management Training - IAVM
If you manage volunteers and/or a volunteer programme, are looking to make the move from volunteer co-ordinator to manager, or are simply looking for training that will push you and the boundaries of your VM knowledge further, visit our IAVM pages.
There you can view the vast range of topics in the advanced-level training programme, presented for CSV by an international faculty of volunteerism experts.
IAVM training is available to members of staff from charitable, voluntary, not-for-profit, public sector and corporate organisations across the UK and beyond, who manage volunteers and/or volunteer programmes.
