“Good standards of teaching appropriate to learners…” Springboard Sunderland ALI inspection report, March 2003

“Everyone felt valued…” Springboard Sunderland, IIP assessment, February 2002

“Good range of learning opportunities…” Springboard Islington ALI inspection report, July 2001

Helping young people fulfil their potential is one of our core activities. Over many years we have established an excellent track record in the provision of a wide range of fully accredited vocational training programmes for 16-19 year olds, including NVQ Training and Foundation and Advanced Modern Apprenticeships.

A comprehensive network of employer placements gives young people the opportunity to learn practical skills and gain valuable experience in the real world of work.

This approach provides the basis for successful and highly effective work based learning programmes offering nationally recognised qualifications in a wide range of disciplines.

All CSV training opportunities incorporate intensive levels of support for young people to help them succeed. All projects also have long-term commitment to local areas.

Training programmes include:

Business Administration
Health and Social Care
Information Communication Technology
Painting and Decorating
Media Design and Printing
Motor Vehicle Maintenance
Carpentry and Joinery
Sport and Leisure
Horticulture
and many others.

Examples include:
Springboard Sunderland runs an innovative cadet programme in partnership with South of Tyne and Wearside Mental Health NHS Trust. The programme leads to nursing degree courses at university or work in auxiliary nursing.

Springboard Bromley has a highly successful apprenticeship scheme in Early Years Care and Education, covering five London boroughs, 80 apprentices and 60 employers.
