This intensive one-day course will enable you to develop the skills to convey your message effectively in difficult situations.
This course follows on from the Radio and TV training course and aims to prepare delegates to handle more difficult and challenging interviews.
Any of the following elements can be selected to form part of this intensive media package:
-
Telephone interviews involving potentially hostile callers
-
Location television interviews enable delegates to practise giving good interviews while dealing with a range of visual distractions
-
Tough panel discussions teach delegates how to handle conflicting points of view while calmly articulating key messages under pressure.
We will focus on how to deal with difficult issues while keeping a cool head. Emphasis is placed on the fact that handling a hostile interview poorly can create a very negative perception, while correct handling will boost the perception of your organisation.
Who should attend?
This one day course is specially designed for people who have already attended CSV Media's Radio and TV training.
This course is aimed at anyone likely to be directly involved in handling media relations surrounding a specific issue in which tougher questions are anticipated.
If you need to know how to react quickly and decisively while under pressure in order to control the media message, then this course is for you.
As we endeavour to make our advanced training sessions as realistic as possible, it is important that during these sessions trainees are put on the spot and so should be braced for a challenging, but valuable day!
