The Student Leadership programme is a three day course for Key Stage 3 students, offering young people an opportunity to develop their leadership skills through greater understanding of themselves and others.

The course was developed by more than 700 students from 60 different London schools, creating a course that truly inspires students to become leaders in their own schools and communities.  The course has run successfully in London for over two years, and is now available to schools across the UK.

Students taking part improve their communication and presentation skills, while raising their self esteem and confidence. The course is facilitated rather than taught and is based around a number of ‘challenges’ encouraging students to step out of their comfort zone and try out their skills.

By the end of the course, the young people learn to create and work in successful teams, and learn the skills needed to manage projects and make a real difference to their schools and communities.

Prior to the course, CSV trainers spend a day in the school training school staff to be facilitators.  The school staff then deliver the three day course with support from CSV trainers.  After the course, the school are given all the materials and any further assistance they need, enabling them to run the course as many times and they want to.

For more information, or to book your school a course, please see www.csvcommunitypartners.org.uk or contact,
