More than 164,000 special people volunteered for CSV last year, helping in excess of a million people in need.

Thank you to last year’s volunteers but also to those from the last forty years – we are nothing without you.

Do you want to share your experience of being a CSV?

So many people, like Lucy Beardsmore and Lancelot Wray featured on this page, tell us inspiring stories about what being a CSV volunteer has meant to them. But we'd love to hear from you, especially...

• The dates you were a volunteer
• your contact details
• your memories

Your experiences could inspire the next generation of volunteers. Please send them to Helen on hstack@csv.org.uk

Do you want to volunteer again?

You can get involved with CSV Make a Difference Day in October every year. If you live in London you could try our bite-sized weekend volunteering with CSV’s GO projects. And if you are aged fifty or above, you might like to join RSVP, the Retired and Senior Volunteers Programme.

Can you help in another way?

If you support what we are doing, please help us to provide more volunteers to work with people in need by making a donation now through our secure site, provided by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

Lucy and Lucy

Volunteer Lucy helped a law student, also called Lucy, with some of the practicalities of student life.

"It was brilliant! I made loads of new friends and it really gave my confidence a boost."
- Lucy Beardsmore, former CSV volunteer.

“My experience with CSV is one that I will always cherish as it gave me the opportunity to discover my true inclination to helping people. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to discover myself.”
- Lancelot Wray, former CSV volunteer.
