2005 sees the fifth year of our Patrons’ Scheme for committed high-level givers.

The Patrons' Scheme was launched in June 2001 at Downing Street by our President Lord Levy and Cherie Blair. This year we hope to build on the strength of our existing donors by encouraging other generous individuals to become CSV patrons.

Our patrons are kept up to date with the impact of their investment through regular reports, special events and project visits.

The patrons’ contribution to our work is recognised in our Annual Review and on our letterhead.

Your generosity could help CSV in many ways:

  • £10,000 means that 10 young excluded people can access the intensive support of a volunteer mentor, helping them find the strength within themselves to start again
  • £20,000 helps set up a network of 100 older volunteers to befriend 500 isolated people who might not otherwise see anyone
  • £50,000 unlocks the potential of hundreds of student volunteers, placing them in classrooms throughout the country to give one-to-one support to thousands of children who need extra help
  • £100,000 helps us protect hundreds of children at risk of abuse by matching them with carefully selected, screened and trained community volunteers to check they are safe in their homes every single day and offer support to families under pressure
  • £200,000 reduces crime by engaging prisoners as volunteers in their community, helping to build bridges and develop skills for work that they can build on upon their release from prison, reducing the likelihood of them re-offending
  • a new CSV National Action Centre will make sure that the 11 million people who are waiting to help their communities as volunteers will know where to go to start

Please contact Helen Stack on 020 7643 1340 or email hstack@csv.org.uk for more information about our Patrons Scheme or to arrange a meeting.
