Why become an International Volunteer with CSV?
As a full-time International Volunteer with CSV you will have an intercultural experience which will give you the opportunity to learn about the life and culture in the United Kingdom, gain new skills, have chance to meet new people and hopefully make long lasting friendships, while doing something to help people and communities in the UK. It gives you a unique opportunity to gain an insight into life in the UK that you would not get from any holiday.
What other International Volunteers have said:
“I would recommend everybody to be a CSV volunteer. It’s the best thing I’ve done in my life so far and I think you couldn’t learn more about yourself and other people than in those few months abroad.”
Manuela, Germany
“Being a CSV volunteer gives you the opportunity to grow up with people, provide support for others, become and active part of the International Community and make friends from all over the world, building relationships for life.”
Diana, Colombia
“For myself, volunteering has been a personal journey in understanding my own strengths and weaknesses: understanding my patience, tolerance, humour and love for others. Ultimately I’ve come to understand the personal importance of volunteering. With the good times and bad, I wholeheartedly would not change a thing.”
Dawn, USA
“I like this volunteer work because I enjoy talking to clients and listening to what they’re saying. It’s a challenge learning how to communicate with people with disabilities and elderly people through English.”
Sho, Japan
If you are an EU or EEA national and are living in the UK you may apply to volunteer directly to CSV. Click here for details. Regrettably CSV is unable to accept other international applications directly unless made through our partner organisations.
