How does Global Xchange work?
-
Global Xchange works with young people
aged 18 to 25
-
Volunteers are selected in the UK and in
partner countries
-
They live and volunteer together in the UK for three months, and in the partner country for three months
-
An international group of 18 volunteers will spend up to three months in this community, volunteering in local community organisations and living with host families
Who can apply?
Global Xchange is open to anyone from the UK who is aged from 18-25.
Global Xchange also considers applications from young people within the European Economic Area (EU, Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland).
All applicants must be able to support and guide their counterparts in the UK phase and are therefore required to have a good grasp of English and be familiar with life in the UK.
The programme aims to reflect the diversity of UK society, in terms of geographical, social and ethnic background and gender.
We encourage applications from all young people, whether they have formal qualifications or not.
We also welcome applications from young people who have a disability.
