  Saturday 11th October:
  Stave Hill Ecology Park, SE16

We will be creating butterfly and bee seed beds in the Long Meadow, and do some second stage hedge laying. If you want to be part of this extremley muddy and enjoyable chore get in touch! Event runs from 10AM - 3PM.

   Sunday12th October:
   Royal Parks Half Marathon,
   W2

Enthusiastic volunteers are needed to support over 12,000 people running the Royal Parks Foundation new Half Marathon which will be raising millions of pounds for charity.   All volunteers report to Hyde Park and will be required from 8am until 3pm.  Full briefing notes, lunch and a t-shirt will be provided.

This event is not being run by GO London project. Anyone interested should contact Amy Schick amy.schick@limelightsports.com or 020 7299 4168.

     Saturday 18th October:
    Kensal Green Cemetery,
    W10

We've recently been to Kensal Green to clear ivy from some of the most famous of the grand old monuments. The volunteers did a great job, but the cemetery is so big there is plenty more to do. Come and help clear ivy and cut down trees to restore this magnificent old London cemetery back to former glory. Event runs from 10AM to 3PM.

Sunday 19th October

GO Walk no. 6 Autumn in Epping Forest

Epping Forest is the largest public open space in the London Area, a remnant of ancient hunting forest protected by two pioneering Acts of Parliament passed in 1878. It forms a 19km green strip from deep in the east of London at Forest Gate northwards to Epping in Essex, mainly woodland but also including open ground, heathland, many ponds and historic structures such as the Tudor period Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge near Chingford and Iron Age earthworks.

We`ll be walking from Epping Underground station (Central Line), through the forest to Chingford Station (overground to Liverpool Street), approximately 7.5 miles. There is a pub and café at the halfway point at High Beeches and also at the end of the walk. There are many footpaths throughout the forest although some of them, particularly the bridleways, can be muddy, so it is advisable to wear walking boots.

If you`d like to come along, we`ll be meeting at Stratford Station, near the ticket office, at 10.30am, before catching the tube up to Epping Station (Zone 6) where the walk starts. We aim to be back in Central London by 5.30-6.00pm. If showers are forecast, we will still go ahead with the walk, but if these are likely to be prolonged or very heavy, the walk will postponed. Please email us if you would like to come along gocity@csv.org.uk

    Saturday 25th October:
     Lexham House, W10

After the success of the last event this venue has asked us back to help design their gardens and create a mural. This venue proved to be very popular first time round so book early to avoid dissapointment! Event runs from 10AM - 3PM.

      Sunday 26th October:
    Spitalfields City Farm, E1

Always a great venue. City Farms exist to bring the countryside and its activities to urban people. They generally use otherwise derelict land and involve local people in their establishment and maintenance. Spitalfields Farm is a valuable local resource seeking to involve everyone from this culturally diverse inner-city community. We will be doing several activities including bulb planting, painting and digging! A popular venue that always fills up fast so make sure you get in touch to sign yourself up.

    Saturday 8th November:
   Highgate Cemetery, N6

Another fantastic event in North London. A chance to get stuck in and make a difference at this wonderful venue which is one of London's phenomenal cemetries. The cemetery is over 150 years old and has a wonderful history so come along, do your bit and see a beautiful corner of London.

   Sunday 9th November:
  Tower Hamlets Cemetery
  Park, E3

Come and join us at another one of The Magnificent 7 cemeteries. As part of the Autumn/Winter programme of work, we will be clearing ivy and removing brambles and nettles. And we'll also be planting native and naturalised Spring bulbs, for those of you who prefer to create, rather than destroy. Event runs from 10am-3pm.

Saturday 15th November:
Paradise Park, N7

This is our third time to this very popular venue in Islington. The venue was so impressed by GO London volunteers that they have asked us to come back! With a target to finish the adventure park in time for December’s grand opening. We will be improving on the work that’s already been started so come along and join in! Digging, painting, building, planting, we’ll be doing it all so don’t miss out!

Event runs from 10AM to 4PM

Saturday 29th November:
Paradise Park, N7

With just a week before the adventure park opens we will be returning to this exciting venue to put the finishing touches to a fantastic project.  Come along and see the tremendous difference that we have made during our times at this venue and be sure to add your own mark!

     Saturday 6th December:
    Highgate Cemetery, N6

We will be returning to this wonderful venue to continue with the sites conservation. Clearing ivy from graves will be one of many tasks to get stuck in to. This is set to be a great event so make sure you don't miss out!
