Nottinghamshire Healthcare's Rainbow Learning Project provides training and learning opportunities for service users within Adult Mental Health Services, away from the hospital environment within their own communities.
The courses, held weekly in various locations around north Nottinghamshire, have an 'open door' policy and offer a variety of fun, hobby-based subjects in addition to more vocational activities and advice on moving back into work. Courses are designed to increase communication, confidence and literacy in a supportive way.
Rainbow Learning is looking for volunteers to help deliver the learning and development programme in North Notts, either providing one-to-one support for individual students or, with the appropriate qualifications, acting as course tutors.
Learning and development opportunities are available in locations across North Nottinghamshire including Ashfield, Mansfield, Newark, Worksop and Ollerton. In return the Rainbow Learning team will work with you, offering support and an opportunity to increase your skills.
If you would like to know more about Rainbow Learning and perhaps arrange to attend a course in a location near you, please contact Glenys at glenys.hadley@nottshc.nhs.uk or
