Forest School aims to introduce children to the natural world and allows them to gain confidence and respect for themselves and the environment around them
.

CSV believes that Forest School has many social, physical and health benefits to offer, through helping children to enjoy physical outdoor activities and develop practical and social skills in a supportive framework.

Not only can the programme build children’s self esteem and confidence, and motivate those who may struggle in a classroom environment, the Forest School can also give children an increased awareness of the natural world and help them learn to respect it.

Public events have introduced a number of local families to the woods and their potential for play.  We are now in a position to offer Forest School programmes to schools on an ongoing basis in both Birmingham and Bristol, on dedicated sites and within school grounds.

Sessions can be run with children aged four years and upwards from both schools and play organisations, and are tailored to the ages and needs of the individual client groups. They are always held outdoors, either in a local woodland or another suitable location.

Activities include building shelters, tracks and trails, cooking on an open fire, and making art from nature.
