Keen would-be gardeners can learn to grow their own veg on the L-Plate Gardening course.  The course is a structured programme of learning sessions in organic gardening methods being run weekly  until the autumn by CSV Environment’s Surinder Kaur-Sohanpal.

In addition to the practical training Surinder provides, the group of budding gardeners and veg-growers will visit established organic gardens, and should expect to sell some of their home-grown produce at farmers’ markets in the local area.

The course, based on Lower Tinkers Farm near Northfield town centre, aims to inspire those who take part to go further with their interest in gardening, perhaps by completing further training, or renting their own allotment.

The L-Plate Gardening training project is open to all that have an interest in gardening and could commit to attending the set of weekly training sessions until at least September 2008.

If you are interested in taking part, or would like more information, please contact Surinder on 0121 327 4945 or email surinder@csvenvironment.org.uk
