Need a Volunteer?
Layout Positioning image

We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer for our Birmingham office, to raise our profile locally and further afield, and so help us reach a wider cross-section of the community, enhance more of Birmingham’s environment, and inspire new volunteers to get involved.

What is involved?
This is a chance to try your hand at a wide range of roles, potentially including writing press releases, articles and publications, taking photographs of CSV activities, maintaining the website, and helping to organise and run community events.  How much and how varied a role is up to you – just get in touch for an informal chat.

When?
As soon as possible

Where?
At our office at St Peter's College in Saltley, Birmingham, and on site across Birmingham

How much time would I have to commit?
Up to you, but we would be looking at a commitment of 1-3 days a week, for a minimum of 3 months

Would I need any specific skills?
Essential:
-
Confidence to deal with media & public
- Competent written & verbal communication skills
- Enthusiasm for community-based environmental work
Desirable:
- Experience of community and/or environmental work
  - Experience of photography/writing press information

What can I get out of it?
Training, work experience, new skills, good contacts with local groups and organisations, being part of a dynamic team and exciting projects, and of course having fun!

How do I find out more?
Initially contact Tom Freeland on 0121 322 2025, or by e-mail: tom@csvenvironment.org.uk.
