Who can be a mentor?
Mentors are good listeners, people who care, people who want to help others discover their strengths.
Anyone with the right attitude and time can be a mentor provided they are prepared to undergo a thorough vetting process including a criminal record bureau disclosure (CRB) and complete an introductory training programme.

What is mentoring exactly?
A mentoring relationship is recognised as a strong and constructive one where both people grow through the experience.
CSV Mentoring defines the mentoring relationship as one that involves volunteer mentors in the provision of support and guidance for others with less relevant knowledge and experience.
What good will mentoring do?
Be a mentor and you can really make a difference to a young person.
All CSV mentoring projects offer a quality experience to both the volunteers and the young person being mentored. Most CSV projects have received the National Mentoring Network Approved Provider Status.
