CSV welcomes the skills and experience that senior volunteers bring to each project.
You can find opportunities to volunteer through CSV's highly successful and supportive Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP) - see below - or check the Volunteer in Wales page for other projects that may interest you.
Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme (RSVP)
Looking for a new purpose? Want to get involved in your community? Anyone over 50 who wants to volunteer is welcome, particularly first time volunteers.
RSVP has local volunteer organisers all over Wales who can help you find the right volunteering opportunity for you - in your own community.
RSVP members throughout Wales volunteer in many different ways:
- Helping children with reading in schools
- Assisting with environmental projects
- Acting as befrienders to the lonely
...and much more.
Examples of current projects:
Pembrokeshire - Cars for Carers
If you are retired and live in Pembrokeshire, you may want to help with our 'Cars for Carers' rural transport scheme.
Anglesey - advice for the housebound
Here you could join us and train to give benefits advice to people in their own home.
Knitting teddy bears for vulnerable children
If you would like to volunteer but can't get out and about, you could become part of the RSVP Knitting Scheme which provides thousands of knitted teddy bears for vulnerable babies or traumatised children. Knitters also supply garments for the elderly in residential homes and for humanitarian aid appeals.
