Want to volunteer?

Whatever your situation,
CSV can offer you an opportunity to volunteer that will help you gain new practical skills, meet new people and help support your community by giving your time and energy.

Looking for volunteering opportunities for young people?

CSV has an impressive track record of delivering volunteering opportunities for young people across the country. CSV volunteers help provide vital services in our communities in the major cities, valleys and rural areas of Wales.

Current volunteering projects

Helping young offenders and disaffected young people

In Newport, CSV volunteers currently help young offenders forge new futures by offering guidance and support at difficult times in their lives. In Cwmbran and Pontypool young people facing difficulties at school or college are supported by local CSV volunteers who are trained to help them back into education.

Helping people with disabilities
In Torfaen, young people give their time to support people with disabilities to live independently and offer vital respite care to people who have long term illnesses or are disabled. At Swansea University, disabled students are helped to enjoy university life to the full with the support of full-time CSV volunteers.

Millennium Volunteers (MV)
In Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent, young people can set up and run their own projects with the support from CSV Action Cyfle and Millennium Volunteers.

All across Wales young people can signup to MV, have their volunteering contribution recognised and receive Awards of Excellence signed by the First Minister.

Befriending to help children learn
In Cardiff, dozens of volunteers befriend and support primary age children in the south of the city to help fast forward their learning to a brighter future.

In the Fitzalan cluster in Cardiff, volunteers support children through the difficult transition stage from primary to secondary school.
