About CSV, the UK volunteering and learning charity

CSV's vision is of a society where everyone can participate to build strong and inclusive communities.

Our mission is to enable people to take an active role in their communities.

Volunteering with CSV enables people of all ages and backgrounds to reap the benefits of putting something back.

Our programmes help empower disabled people to lead independent lives.

We offer security and stability to families and children at risk of neglect.

We help young people find their direction in life and enable older people to share knowledge and experience across generations.

And through our learning and training facilities, thousands of young people and adults develop new skills, build their confidence and improve their job prospects.

In partnership with organisations across the UK and Europe, we help people come together to build stronger communities through better services and more fulfilling lives.

We hold the secretariat of The Network of National Volunteer-Involving Agencies, connecting over fifty not-for-profit organisations, from National Trust to CRUK and RNIB.

Volonteurope firmly connects us to Europe, where we help promote volunteering to millions.

Annual Review 2011-2012

As CSV celebrates its 50th year, the Annual Review illustrates how we are continuing to make a difference.

We've taken the opportunity to look back with pride at a long history of enriching communities through innovative volunteering and learning programmes. We are continuing to draw on our experience, driving new approaches to improving the lives of some of society’s most vulnerable people.
