Five steps to get more media coverage as an organisation

The second day of the conference was packed with various workshops.

BBC Journalist Penny Wrout sparked an interesting discussion in her workshop about ‘Traditional themed broadcasting campaigns as a way of promoting volunteering’.

She claimed that from a broadcasters’ perspective, reporting about volunteering is generally a hard task. The reason for that lies in the challenge of making a personal volunteering story interesting to others.

Day One

In this blog I'd like to share today's highlights from the flagship conference at the Mary Ward House in London, which focuses on the topic 'Broadcasting and its role in promoting volunteering'.

Here you can read about some interesting aspects from great discussions, important speeches and inspiring concepts that have been presented so far at this event.

About to start the conference - half an hour to go

just had a look at the participants list - with 30 minutes to go before the conference - we've already covered more than half of the EU countries with the delegates :-)

Welcome to the conference live blog!

Welcome to the inaugural blogpost from the Broadcasting and its Role in Promoting Volunteering Conference, brought to you by CSV!

Our bloggers around the conference centre will be bringing you nuggets of information throughout both days. So if you aren't able to be here, or if you are here but (like most people) can only be in one place at one time, you'll be able to get the most from the event.

Here's the event schedule:

Day 1 - Wednesday 21st September 2011

13:30 – 14.30 Registration and refreshments
