This year's CSV Make a Difference Day saw over 70,000 people take part with their friends, family, neighbours and colleagues, which means that since 1996 one million people have given their time to help others through CSV on this amazing annual event!

in numbers
70,000 volunteers
2,000 events
1,000,000 volunteers since 1996
2012's saw volunteers of all ages came together to take part in over 2,000 events across the country. Highlights including breaking the world record for the largest children’s sponsored walk, teenagers talking about safe sex, removing shopping trolleys from Brent River Park as well as the nation conducting hundreds of ‘random acts of kindness’ for disadvantaged people in their local area.
What's more, thanks to the efforts of the amazing celebrities Esther Rantzen and Pete Waterman, over 50 MPs and Members of the Scottish Parliament pledged their support to inspire residents in their own constituencies to volunteer over the two weeks of the campaign.
Congratulations to everyone involved and a million thanks for your volunteering efforts and achievements!
