This year's campaign takes place on Saturday 30 October, with activites from 23 October until 7 November.
Activities can be anything from creating a community garden to teaching IT skills, renovating a homeless shelter or knitting outfits for premature babies.
There are loads of free resources available to inspire you, with ideas and advice to help you plan and carry out your activity. To request any of the following, email difference@csv.org.uk or call Freephone 0800 284 533.
- The Campaign Handbook is packed with ideas for projects small and large, as well as practical advice on setting up a project and recruiting volunteers. It also includes a handy section on raising the profile of your project, including template press releases and letters to local MPs or celebrities.
- The How-to Guides contain ideas for simple things that everybody can do to make a difference! This year there are 6 guides focussed on family friendly activities from planting trees to designing t-shirts or making pumpkin pie.
- Citizenship Lesson Plans are available for Key Stages 3 and 4. There are 6 available, and they focus on subjects from youth and media to Fairtrade and child poverty.
- Action Packs are sent out to all registered projects, and include t-shirts, posters, stickers, balloons, volunteer certificates and other free goodies to help your activity go smoothly!
