Free Resources for CSV Make a Difference Day 2011!

CSV Make a Difference Day activities range from creating community gardens to teaching IT skills, to renovating homeless shelters, knitting outfits for premature babies, and much more.

There are loads of free resources available full of inspiration, ideas and advice to help plan and carry out an activity. Campaign Handbook

Packed with ideas for projects small and large, as well as practical advice on setting up a project and recruiting volunteers, it also includes a handy section on raising the profile of your project, including template press releases and letters to local MPs or celebrities. How-to guides

The How-to guides contain ideas for simple things that everybody can do to make a difference! This year there are 6 guides focussed on combating loneliness and isolation.

Each guide provides instructions and tips for specific activities, from knitting an animal blanket to writing a letter to a seriously ill child. There are helpful weblinks to sites that provide free paint for renovating communities, list IT-skills training centres or detail how to start a Neighbourhood Watch, among others!

Citizenship Lesson Plans

There are six lesson plans for Key Stages 3 and 4 available, focusing on Youth, Media, Fair Trade, Child Poverty, Politics, and Health & Sports.

Action Packs

The Action Packs are sent out to all registered projects, and include t-shirts, posters, stickers, volunteer certificates and other free goodies to help your activity go smoothly!
