Vocational Training - Adam Dawson

Adam Dawson is building an exciting future for himself following a graphic design and print apprenticeship with CSV Springboard Hartlepool, and secured full time employment with his placement provider James Print of Hartlepool.

Adam spent the first six months at Tower Design, Springboard’s own design and print studio based in Hartlepool. He then moved on to a work placement with James Print of Hartlepool. This went so well for Adam that the company has offered him permanent employment.

18-year-old Adam also recently won a competition to design an information leaflet for the Going4Ward project across the Borough.

His tutor and assessor Helen Smith said “Adam is an excellent example of how work based learning can get young people into employment. He has worked hard, and has always been very motivated. This has impressed his placement provider and has got him on the first rung of the ladder.”

Adam said, “I have really enjoyed doing my apprenticeship with Springboard. I like design and working on different jobs each day and I am really enjoying my new job.”
