Full-time volunteering with CSV gives people the opportunity to learn new skills, improve job prospects and most importantly help others. You could be providing support to young people, people with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or mental health issues.
Full-time volunteers live away from home and are provided with accommodation and weekly allowances to live on. A full-time placement can last between 4 and 12 months.
We are always looking for people with commitment, enthusiasm and who are able to get on well with others.
Here’s what some recent volunteers said about it:
"The major advantage of volunteering with CSV is that you are gaining experience all the time and also finding out what you want to do as a career. I wasn't sure if this was a career for me but now I've had a chance to try it out and get a job! I can seriously see myself progressing in the care field now."
David Coulson, June 2009
"After 4 months of volunteering I have to say that this is one of the best choices I have ever made in my life."
Carlos Anaia, June 2009
"In today's climate when there are 30 people going for every job, volunteering makes your CV stand out and proves your dedication. What bettter way is there to stand out from the crowd.
Emily Cook, August 2008
