The Energy Challenge - London and Scotland

Fuel poverty in the UK is a real and serious problem. Many older people die each year simply because they cannot afford to heat their own homes. These tragic deaths can be avoided and you can help.

Volunteer with the Energy Challenge and we’ll train you to help older people save money on their energy bills and live in warmth and comfort. We are looking for volunteers in Central London and across Scotland who can give at least half a day a week to help vulnerable people in their local community.

You’ll visit older people in their own homes and at community venues, giving information and advice on energy efficiency, choosing suppliers and claiming government assistance. You’ll help people save money, help protect the environment and maybe even save someone’s life.

The Energy Challenge is run by volunteers from CSV’s Retired and Senior Volunteer Programme.
